Early Morning

Another fall transition look here. I always wanted to get a perfect oversized trench coat for fall. I never actually got one until recently I received this trench coat from Miamasvin, an online shopping site based in Korea. I think the coat might be a bit oversized for me so I like to wear it as a cape (the bis size is probably going to be useful later as I like to add more layers to my winter outfits). I also received the crop top and skirt in check; they are a set - perfect for those days that you don't know how to dress yourself. Ahh, and those mules from Schutz! They are my current favourites! But for those who want a pair of Schutz shoes, I'd suggest you to get bigger size than your usual shoe size (so if you're a 37.5, get 38 instead... they are a bit small). For me, they fit like perfectly, but I kind of wish they were a little bit bigger. Oh well, they are really beautiful! xoxo, Claire.

Despite that it was sunny for the whole week last week, I could feel cold breeze of air on my skin in the early morning. Time for a new sweater? Oh yes, I did. I just got this checked jumper last week! I must say that most of my recent clothing are from Missguided, the most fashionable and affordable online shopping destination for you and me :) I styled the check jumper with this pair of black trousers for a sporty fall outfit look. Oh, the trousers are really comfortable that I wear them almost everyday :) If you're a big fan of sporty trend, you can check out Missguided's "Play the Field" section to see more great pieces. xoxo, Claire.

Checked Skirt

I used to hate wearing miniskirt in high school years. Yeah, I was a bit tomboy-ish back then. But people change over time; I mean I don't feel uncomfortable in a miniskirt. I received this checked skirt from Missguided, as well as this step hem knitted top - a little pre-fall outfit look. I love this light-weight knitted top because of the side cut. This top is very easy to style with, something like chevron necklace works well. The weather in Vancouver is still warm. Even though I wish summer could stay longer, I guess I'm actually looking forward this coming fall/winter season :) xoxo, Claire.

Sheer & Distressed

It's not like wearing a crop top to show your belly is the only way; the alternative to a crop top is a shell top with sheer panel. The sheer panel works like a perfect protection wall for the belly - I mean your belly doesn't feel cold anymore. Despite its ultimate function, let's focus on its clean minimal cut-lines, shall we? Something simple like this can be easily styled with. Distressed jeans (like the one in the photos), white pencil skirt (like the model), mini skirt or leather skirt work perfectly matching with the sheer panel top. And should I say more about my love for distressed jeans? Ugh, I just simply love them. xoxo, Claire

wearing: ZARA sweatshirt (similar via Blue Life Fit) |  Line & Dot Faux Leather Shorts (similar Black Denim)
Birkenstock Sandals | Alexander Wang Prisma Bag | Starbucks Iced Coffee (just joking :P)

Never thought that fleece and faux leather can mix together so well. They make a perfect balance with each other. I guess I always focus too much on prints and patterns, already forgetting that materials play an important role as well. That's what happens to me when the busy mode is activated. Need to constantly remind myself that "Hey, step back a bit and see what's surrounding you."

Is anyone following NYFW shows? I am for sure (taking some notes down as well). Have a good weekend, everyone! xoxo, Claire.
