NYFW has ended perfectly last week - I was amazed by so many designers' Fall 2015 collections, just wishing I could be there myself to see everything with my own eyes! I was following some of my favourite shows/designers on Instagram (a good way to catch up a lot of things while on the run), and I took some notes down of a few favourites. I wouldn't say this post is a trend report, but I'd like to think this as an inspiration from the fashion shows for this fall/winter season. Click below to see what I've been observed from NYFW!
Dark Long Coat: an eternal classic staple, looking better with large collar around the neckline.
(Wes Gordon, Jason Wu, Derek Lam, Alice + Olivia)
Faux Fur Collar: a replacement for giant scarf, perfect for casual-luxe look. I personally prefer faux fur over real ones.
(Nicolas K, Altuzarra, Creatures of the Wind, Band of Outsiders)
Faux Fur Stole: a new way to look modern with a piece of faux fur stole, probably going to be my favourite.
(Jason Wu, Thakoon, Michael Kors, Rachel Zoe)
Chunky Knits: I'm a giant knitwear fan. The ones with turtleneck are perfect. Look best with slimmer silhouette on the bottom.
(Coach, Wes Gordon, Marissa Webb, Tibi)
Mixed Prints: always amazed by people who can mix two or more different prints/pattern together so well, not overly done. Something to learn for this year.
(Thakoon, Karen Walker, Tome, Suno)
Tailored Suits: masculine ensembles with a touch of femininity. Dress like a boss, act like a lady.
(Yigal Azrouel, Dion Lee, Ralph Laruen, Ohne Titel)
