New York Fashion Week: from Sandals to Heels

After coming back from NYFW and sitting down in my little cubicle, I still feel myself wandering around in a dream. Everything fled so quickly; six days in New York have now become the past. I've experienced things I never imagined myself to encounter with and met so many inspirational people. You can read my first NYFW experience here at

First NYFW, checked.

NYFW was definitely overwhelming. Travelling between shows to shows can be a disaster. In order to protect my feet from any more blisters, I only wore heels when going to a show or meeting, and then quickly changed into sandals (the pair from Johnston & Murphy via ShoeMe are extremely comfortable for walking for a whole day) when strolling around the city. Don't be self-conscious about changing your footwear in the middle of the street. It is very common to see ladies switching to flats or sandals after the parties or shows.

Embrace the culture, by all means.

And there is always first time for everything. The very first self-portrait experience was hectic, as I was trying to figure out how to shoot myself without out of focus while working under the NYC heatwave. After 40 minutes of sweating and feeling lost, I managed to overcome the obstacles and be able to take a few good shots of myself. Nothing is easy until you work hard to master it - just never ever give it up easily!
