Scarf, Captured

Back in mid-July, I did my very first photo shoot with a local scarf designer to shoot a series of photos for lookbook. It felt like the first day of your new job; no ideas what obstacles you will be facing or people you will be dealing with. You just have to accept everything at work set. No excuses granted.

I was nervous, to be honest, as a photographer on that day. I could feel my heart fluttering against my own skin, and everyone seemed to be waiting for
my command to get started. This is it, I simply took a silent deep breath and started shooting.

Nicole, the model, was amazing that day. To my surprise, she is not a professional model – someone who is an expert in knowing how to pose in front of cameras. Regardless, she used to be a ballet dancer. I loved how she was able to fly along with the scarves in the air and dance with them. And here are the results; my favorite ones from the shoot. Although it
took me a while to figure out what kind of style I’m going after for, I believe it still takes time to develop your “own style”.

Aye, tonight is the second last night before I’m heading out to NYC tomorrow. I’m very nervous right now… but feel free to tag along with my NYFW journey on Instagram!

See you later, Big Apple!
